Advise on the Client’s responsibilities and duties within the CDM Regulations. Formal notification of the project to the Health & Safety Executive giving relevant details.
Advice to the Client on both his and the designer’s ability to satisfy their obligations under the CDM Regulations.
Obtain project particulars from the Client and design risk assessments from designers/ consultants for inclusion in the pre-contract design phase Health & Safety Plan.
Advice to the Client on the primary risks associated with the site and intended construction works.
Issue completed design phase Health & Safety Plan to Principal contractor for development of the construction phase Health & Safety Plan. Review, comment and give advice to Client on contractor’s construction phase Health & Safety Plan ensuring that works cannot commence until same is in a satisfactory state. Liaise with Principal Contractor and designers and review and comment on risk assessments and method statements during the progress of the works.
