The following Cost Planning Services may be incorporated within the aforementioned roles or can be procured separately:- Prepare desktop feasibility reports based upon initial proposals with limited information by utilising the experience of the Practice gained from similar and associated projects. Research and collate information from various sources, fellow consultants and historic data to achieve a realistic cost appraisal at the inception stage of a prospective project. Manage costs in a manner to keep the Client informed at all stages of the development process. Prepare regular and informed updates with detailed analysis to aid cost interrogation. Conduct Value Engineering workshops and be prepared to question all areas of concern. Be an integral part of the design process to provide informed and considered advice and share knowledge with the team. Interrogate costs to their constituent parts. Review procurement routes for most appropriate and/or economic solution. Manage and report on cost changes during design and construction phases. Advise on the preparation of Risk Register and instigate the process for valuation and management of risks.
